Taking steps to make restaurants more sustainable since 2017

1. padthaiwok took the decision to change the entire packaging of the franchise. The packaging is now recycled and recyclable. The main objective was to optimise our packaging with a new, more ecological and environmentally friendly design. 

We also eliminated the plastic sticks and our flakes are now made of kraft cardboard.

2. Energy efficiency: We are currently working to make our restaurants more efficient and to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible..

3. Elimination of gas: Another significant change was the change of our kitchen utensils, mainly from gas cookers to induction cookers.

4. The Prato Solidário (Solidarity Meal) action of Ação Contra a Fome. In 2017 we participated in the Restaurants Against Hunger action, creating a unique and special meal at an exclusive price, with 50% of the profits going entirely back to the Restaurants in Solidarity.

5. Ação Têxtil Responsável: Change the design and the fabric of the uniforms of the whole strip to one with the Têxtil Responsável logo.

6. Adaptation of our products to coeliacs, vegans, vegetarians and halal. In addition, all padthaiwok products are cooked without the addition of MSG (Monosodium Glutamate).
